Paris Brass Quintet
"Brass on the roof? What a strange idea!" These could have been the words of Boris Vian whilst evoking this recording by the Paris Brass Quintet dedicated to French composers from the "Dada" movement. Jérémie Dufort's arrangements for brass and voice take us back to the the surrealist farces of Poulenc, Milhaud, Satie or indeed Doucet, and to this repertoire which mixes seriousness, irony and humour.
