Sangata
Sangata is pure connivance. This Sanskrit word translates what happened on stage in 2019: three outstanding young Indian artists, Rishab Prasanna, bansuri flute, Ragini Shankar, Indian violin, Amaan Ali, tabla, and Thierry Pécou surrounded by two musicians from his Ensemble Variances, Anne Cartel, flute and Carjez Gerretsen, clarinet, engage in an intercultural musical dialogue of depth and joy, blending and letting dialogue the Indian music of the Hindustani tradition and Thierry Pécou's writing.
Not only is the enthusiastic audience gripped and moved by the soft, enveloping modes, by the jubilant moments punctuated by the tabla, always mixing improvised sections and passages fixed in Thierry Pécou's score, but the artists themselves are enthusiastic and decide not to stop there!
