Trois regards sur Arlequin - Michel Lysight

This work was part of the Pierrot Rewrite project where Arnold Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire" was mirrored with pieces specially composed by 21 different composers on poems taken from Albert Giraud's Pierrot Lunaire. The composer Michel Lysight then asked Alain Van Kerckhoven to write two texts (Premier Regard sur Arlequin and Second Regard sur Arlequin) to frame the original piece and thus create a triptych independent of the initial project. These are two dark and nihilistic looks at Harlequin, deconstructing Albert Giraud's singular symbolist poem.
